Forbidden Peak Glacier & Alpine Rock Summit Program
The three-day public Forbidden Peak, West Ridge Guided Ascent program is designed to introduce climbers into the exciting world of alpinism, while experiencing the culture of the Pacific Northwest. Our program is a uniquely curated offering, run with smaller group climbs to increase safety and improve your experience. This is a guided alpine rock adventure with a focus on learning the fundamental skills of long alpine rock routes on glaciated peaks. These skills include:
Packing for fast and light travel
Technical rock climbing up to YDS 5.6 in boots
Traditional Rock Gear
Multi-pitch rappelling
Short Pitching
Team roped glacier travel and rope management
During our trip, you will also be exposed to additional topics pertaining to mountaineering, such as: glaciology, weather, packing, rock climbing and camping in an alpine setting.
Includes:
- All on breakfasts and dinners on the mountain
- Tents
- Stoves and fuel
- All group climbing equipment
- Guide guaranteed to be working with in their S.O.P.
- Emergency communication
Excludes:
- Personal climbing and camping equipment
- Lunches and snacks on the mountain
